South Bay Record was founded with a mission to help artists and labels properly maximize and monetize their content in today’s ever changing financing environment.
What 's our minimum deal size?
We are actively pursuing opportunities to monetize catalogs, songs and media rights that generate at least $100K in net annual revenue and up to $15M in annual revenue.
Who do we do it with?
We have access to multiple capital sources, ranging from private equity firms, specialty investment firms and family offices. These sources provide the ability to fund almost any deal, and the ability to create the right structure for your specific needs.

Ben Cary

Ben Cary was most recently served as the CFO of Ingrooves Music Group, a global music distribution company that provides marketing and rights management services for independent labels and artists. Prior to spending almost a decade with Ingrooves in that capacity, he had extensive experience working in investment banking, private equity and finance advisory roles with media and consumer facing businesses over the past 30 years.
Ben graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern California and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of The Recording Academy with over a dozen album producer credits.
